Let’s go out and make someone smile today…
“To finish the moment, to find the journey’s end in every step of the road, to live the greatest number of good hours, is wisdom.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson.
My brother and sister-in-law in Oregon.
For now, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone. The flowers appear on the earth, the time of singing has come. – Song of Solomon 2:11-12.
“Adopt the pace of nature: her secret is patience.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson.
My mom, relaxing on a spring day at the beach – and adopting one of my favorite Emerson quotes.
My brother-in-law in Cusco, Peru. That cute little fellow in his arms is a baby alpaca.
“A single conversation across the table with a wise man is better than ten years mere study of books.” – Henry Wadsworth Longfellow.
I was blessed with more than a single conversation with someone wise: my grandmother, a lover of Jesus, a teacher of nature, a chef of delicious Southern meals, a comforter, and a brilliant storyteller of times long gone and long forgotten. But never will I forget Grandma, or her stories about riding horses bareback in the mountains.
“In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks.” – John Muir.
