Meet Tobey. One day a few years ago, my friend and I took a walk down a country road and heard desperate meows from a cornfield. A scrawny Tobey emerged from the stalks. After bringing him to her barn, giving him food and attention, he was soon rolling in the sun. We still laugh about how Tobey looked like the most happy, grateful cat in the world – and he still is. Funny how animals act as a reminder to that which is important.
