Happy Pictures

“A single conversation across the table with a wise man is better than ten years mere study of books.” – Henry Wadsworth Longfellow.

I was blessed with more than a single conversation with someone wise: my grandmother, a lover of Jesus, a teacher of nature, a chef of delicious Southern meals, a comforter, and a brilliant storyteller of times long gone and long forgotten. But never will I forget Grandma, or her stories about riding horses bareback in the mountains.

  1. I miss all of those moments with her. I still remember how she waved goodbye when we would leave: waving her hand sideways, like she was swatting flies
